Glendale Arizona Historical Society

The society fosters interest in the past, assists with formal historical inquiry and informal information exchanges, believing that an understanding of the past illuminates the present and gives vision for the future. GAHS is dedicated to historic preservation in Glendale and our work includes collecting and preserving artifacts, archiving photographs, oral histories, compiling written materials and researching Glendale's past, historic buildings, people, and lifestyles.

Founded in 1973, the mission of Glendale Arizona Historical Society is to promote public awareness and appreciation of the history of Glendale and the surrounding region and collects, preserves and interprets documentary material &

material objects. It disseminates historical information and supports scholarly research.
