Committed to empowering members of the community by providing access to services, supports and resources in order to maintain or improve quality of life.

Kingman Cares works with individuals, families, groups, organizations and churches in order to help meet the needs of individuals and families within the community. The strenth of the community is in living one another up and strengthening each other.

Kingman Cares started off by providing clothing and food to the homeless and help with access to medication and medical equipment for individuals without insurance or with copays that prevented access to what was needed. Once the Covid-19 epidemic hit, we received requests from people who were in quarantine or were afraid to go out because of the risk. Many of the requests were for food and for someone to pick their mediations up from the pharmacy. We provided handheld nebulizers and solar chargers for individuals without access to electricity. During the summer we received requests for help cooling off at least one room in the house and in the winter with help for heating a room in the house.

We help with filling out referrals to Arizona Long Term Care or to Social Security along with other programs. We have assisted with phone facetime interviews for various programs.

Kingman Cares has worked to keep options open to be able to assist in various areas of need as they are presented. The referrals we have received come through a varity of sources including the hospital, doctors offices, the VA, home health and hospice providers, Adult Protective Services, the Department of Child Safety and other community members
