Phoenix Youth Symphony Orchestras

PYSO exists to expand horizons through music and develop the next generation of Artists, Patrons and Leaders.

For the last 71 years, PYSO has prided itself on being a youth music performance and educational organization made up of over 250 young musicians ranging in age from five to twenty years. We have six ensembles that rehearse weekly and perform throughout the valley from September to June. Through our educational programs we give the gift of music to over 5,000 young children each year and provide over $30,000 in scholarships for need based and performance based situations. It is our goal to get music into the reach of as many children as possible over the next ten yeas as we truly believe that exposure to and the study of music provides valuable emotional and cognitive tools which will help transform future generations into honest, empathic and effective leaders for our communities.
