Brambley Hedge Rabbit Rescue

Brambley Hedge Rabbit Rescue, Inc., has been caring for abused, abandoned and homeless domestic rabbits since our founding in 1986. We are a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) domestic rabbit rescue organization and no-kill shelter, housing more than 130 rabbits at any time.

BHRR works with the community in an effort to provide education about domestic rabbits and to find them "lifelong" homes. Our volunteers come to the shelter on a daily basis to feed, care, and administer medications. Many of our rabbits are "special needs" and require experienced caretakers. These rabbits are currently living in foster homes as their caretakers can provide round the clock care. BHRR has community and youth organizations volunteer on a regular basis. They have a large impact caring for our rabbits and allow them to live a happy life while staying with us. We always look forward to sharing the "world of rabbits" with these new volunteers and we hope the rabbits have made a positive impact on their lives as well.

BHRR holds adoption event every Saturday. Families who have been prescreened, come to meet potential rabbits. If we feel there is a positive match with both rabbit and the family, a final adoption will take place. We follow up with the families once the rabbit goes home and assist them with helping the rabbit settle into his new home.

BHRR also works closely with other agencies in Maricopa County regarding abuse, hoarding and injury situations. We do not take rabbits from the general public, only thru these local agencies.

BHRR would not be able to save the lives of domestic rabbits without much needed donations from the public. Medical care and feed for the rabbits is an overwhelming expense and we greatly appreciate the generosity from our community.

I could tell how much the people at Brambley care for their bunny "charges." They were careful to ensure that both adopter and adoptee are good fits for one another and that bunny will have a good new home. I am truly glad there are places like Brambley!

An amazing organization. We've been lucky enough to adopt 6 rabbits (and perhaps a 7th soon). They are dedicated to making sure every bun finds a forever home and has the best possible care until that home is found. Love you guys!
