Cody's Friends

"Cody's Friends responds to food insecurity by providing donated pet food to individuals living in poverty, human service agencies, animal rescue groups and shelters in Arizona, ensuring that pets stay with their families, off the streets and out of over crowded shelters."

Cody's Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We receive no tax dollars and rely 100% on donations from the community. For over 13 years, the Cody's Community Pets Program has supported thousands of families in need at our weekly pet food distributions. In addition, 50 human service organizations depend on Cody's Friends. Many of them come weekly as well to receive pet food which they take out in to the community and act as our satellite outposts. Cody's Friends distributes an average of 22,000 lbs. of pet food monthly. In 2024, our pet food expenses exceeded $125,000.

People will go hungry before they let their pet suffer. Sadly, many people will surrender their pet if they can't purchase pet food thinking at least they will be able to eat in the shelter. Unfortunately, the shelters are over flowing and many pets are euthanized due to lack of room.

Cody's Friends is also an Arizona Ambassador of the Greater Good Charities. County shelters like PACC, Pinal and Willcox along with 100+ pre approved rescue groups count on Cody's Friends for donated pet food from the GOODS program. In 2023, they depended on Cody's Friends for over ONE MILLION lbs of pet food.
