First Tee-Phoenix

At First Tee – Phoenix, we enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, we create learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids carry to everything they do.

Our trained coaches not only provide an introduction to junior golf and an opportunity to enhance golf skills, but they also create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment to help your child prepare for life ahead, including friendships, school, college and even their careers.

Through our program, kids will learn skills that stay with them for life:

• Setting up step-by-step goals
• Planning for the future
• Appreciating diversity
• Golf fundamentals and advanced techniques

We currently impact nearly 100,000 Phoenix Area youth using 2 core programming models:

 • ON-COURSE PROGRAM: First Tee-Phoenix has over 1800 members that participate in our on-course programming at one of our 16 green grass golf facilities (golf courses).

 • SCHOOL & COMMUNITY PROGRAM: First Tee -Phoenix partners with over 17 School Districts (176+ Elementary/Junior High Schools) and other after school and community programs such as Boys & Girls Clubs. The school program is implemented through each school’s Physical Education department where every year a golf unit is taught using the First Tee curriculum. The number of students impacted through this program is around 94.000 children. The community program introduces children to golf and First Tee – Phoenix’s Core Values by modifying traditional sports using golf equipment.

The annual fee to join the First Tee-Phoenix is $195. A First Tee -Phoenix membership is good for an entire year. We teach our life-skills on-course program year-round offering 4 sessions for our members to participate, plus summer sessions. Golf equipment is provided, so all a child needs is a desire to have fun, learn, and play. Financial assistance is provided to any family in need so that finances are never a barrier.
