Hope Lives - Vive La Esperanza strives to reduce recidivism and transform lives through providing culturally relevant services.

Hope Lives - Vive La Esperanza is a Peer/Community Run Organization (PRO), created as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, established in 2010 as a multi-cultural community service agency; to address the growing barriers to care for underserved populations and communities.

Who we serve
Hope Lives - Vive La Esperanza provides behavioral health support services to people in diverse communities who may be currently receiving or are eligible for Adult SMI/GMHSU services enrolled with the Tribal/Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) and Managed Care Providers (MCO) in Maricopa, Coconino, Mohave Counties and private pay (sliding fee scale) for community members who are not enrolled with the RBHA or a MCO. Emphasis is on support services for individual/group skill building, employment, community re-entry, psycho-education, psycho-social rehabilitation and education/prevention/awareness services for fathers, mothers, veterans, youth in transition and those individuals who have unmet needs. Hope Lives - Vive La Esperanza utilizes partnerships with community-based organizations, health care providers, social/human service providers, faith-based organizations and a variety of neighboring institutions.

Specialty Support Services:
• Forensic Peer Support; Hope Lives Organization actively integrates Forensic Peer Support Specialists to provide direct peer support services; in The City of Phoenix Municipal Court - Behavioral Health Court, The City of Tempe Municipal Court - Mental Health Court, The City of Glendale Municipal Court - Mental Health Court, The City of Chandler Municipal Court - Mental Health Court, The Maricopa County Superior Court - SMI Probation Mental Health Court, Coconino County Mental Health Court (Flagstaff) and the City of Flagstaff Recovery Court. Additional services include community re-entry planning from jail/prison in the identified counties above and re-entry whole housing kits.
• Pre-Vocational Programs; pre-vocational workshops/work adjustment training (janitorial, custodial, clerical/executive assistant, Jewelry Manufacturing/Design Industry).
• Peer Attempt/Survivors of Suicide/Peer Support Group; this group is facilitated on the Phoenix campus and our Flagstaff Campus. The Hope Lives Group remains consistent to the adherence of the Peer Support Whole Health Model and the peer support continuum of care. Group dialogue and activities are kept confidential; open agenda lead through educational/awareness/prevention learning materials; all participants are respected regarding their culture, values and beliefs. Journaling thoughts, emotions and feelings are used as a learning tool.
• Benefits and Financial Coaching; Specialists on staff to assist you with applying for, renewing or answering questions regarding; AHCCCS (DES), Social Security Admin. (SSA), SSI/SSDI, Ticket to Work, and Freedom to Work.
