Humane Society of Sedona

The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals in our communities.

HSS has been serving the Verde Valley since 1966 and our programs are designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a loving home for dogs, cats and other small animals. Quality care medical intervention and positive reinforcement behavior training is provided to the animals in our care. We could not care for more than 700 animals without passionate volunteers who help walk and socialize the animals in our care. Foster parents are also an important part of caring for homeless animals outside the Shelter. No healthy animal or animal with a treatable behavior or medical condition will ever be euthanized.

HSS relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society's two thrift stores, and some fees for service in order to care for and save homeless companion animals.
