2nd Chance Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, in Queen Creek, Arizona. Over the years our mission has evolved into saving abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs, most of the seniors or medically needy dogs that would surely end up euthanized without our intervention.
We heal their bodies, hearts, and minds, and then send them on to loving, supportive homes when possible; provide them sanctuary for the rest of their lives at our rescue or through our Last Chance Angels fosters, when it is not possible to find them an adopter. We created the "Last Chance Angels" program for these amazing dogs - we rescue them, get them the best medical care available, and a foster home for them to live out their final days - whether it's a week, a month, a year - with love, comfort, and compassion.
Being a small non-profit, we naturally have a tight budget - and in addition to our Last Chance Angels medical expenses, which can run quite high, we have several of sanctuary dogs have chronic conditions that are will be treated for their lifetimes, so our expenses are great. Fundraising events like AZ Gives Day mean the world to us, as we are able to connect to so many amazing people that may not know our story and our mission. We hope that you will consider blessing us with a donation of any size, and help us continue building a better life for the dogs we rescue and care for.

"I was at work at Intel, and saw this video and story posted around our company, about the rescue of a dog that had been living on the Intel campus grounds for months. I watched it and was so moved by it, I had to know who the rescue organization was, because I had to be part of it. I contacted Diana at 2nd Chance Dog Rescue, who had worked so hard to rescue Snoopy, and have been a volunteer ever since. Snoopy went on to be adopted by a loving family, was renamed Caesar, and lived for several more years before passing peacefully with his family. I love the dogs in this rescue and am glad to be a part of it." ~ Tammy Cooper Brown
An Advocate for Seniors & Abandoned Dogs:
"I connected with 2nd Chance Dog Rescue after I saw an email being circulated by Diana/2nd Chance regarding a senior dog found by a couple in the East Valley. The poor girl looked like she'd been neglected and/or wandering for a long time. Diana worked with the people that found her, and eventually found a foster and home for Halo. I was struck by Diana's perseverance, her dedication, and while compassion is obviously a must for people in rescue, Diana seemed to have more than most. I started following the rescue, and eventually became a volunteer, believing so greatly in Diana's efforts and vision. Halo went on to live out a happy, loved, secure life with a wonderful family. Halo is just one of many, many animals that have been given their 2nd Chance in life by this amazing organization. ~ Trish Roman-Aquilino
