Family Involvement Center

To assist and support families/caregivers of children/youth with emotional, behavioral and mental health needs, as well as assist policy makers, agencies and providers in transforming systems to ensure children/youth succeed in school, live with families in the community, avoid delinquency, and become productive adults.

Family Involvement Center (FIC) is a non-profit organization started by parents, for parents. Our staff are parents themselves who have raised or are raising children with special needs. We share what we have learned as parents in order to make the journey easier for other families. We help parents who are navigating child-serving systems, such as: Schools, the Department of Child Safety, Juvenile Justice, the Division of Developmental Disabilities, Behavioral and Physical Health Care, Foster and Kinship Care and more. Our services include parent-to-parent support in person or by telephone toll-free statewide, information and referral, support groups, parent education and training, parent and youth advocacy training and leadership positions and opportunities to connect with other parents/caregivers in order to build a support network.
