AzDA Cares Foundation

The AzDA Cares Foundation is a collaborative community dedicated to preventing dental disease; providing education and dental care to Arizona's under-served citizens.

AzDA Cares is a recent merger of the Arizona Dental Foundation (ADF, 1985) and the Central Arizona Dental Society Foundation ( CADS foundation, 2012).
For many years, both the Arizona Dental Foundation and the Central Arizona Dental Society Foundation have been working diligently to provide critical dental services to underserved populations, raising oral health awareness, and supporting dental education initiatives. Together, they have joined to create the AzDA Cares Foundation and to positively influence the lives of countless individuals, making smiles brighter and health.

AzDA Cares is creating a cooperative community committed to compassionate and competent oral health for all Arizonans, regardless of their ability to pay. Our ultimate goal is to prevent dental disease, even as we work to treat and restore dental health. We envision a long-standing commitment to improving the health of Arizonans, both celebrating our accomplishments so far while determined to eliminate the oral health crisis we face in our state.

Imagine a young boy living with his grandparents in Tucson. After visiting a dentist for the first time at a GKAS event, he writes a note entirely in Spanish thanking the dentist because now he can share dinner with his family, eat the same foods they are having, and chew without pain.

I am able to smile again. It was embarrassing to talk to anyone, let alone go on dates or job interviews. I knew people were judging me. My self-esteem was poor, and I couldn't look at myself in the mirror. After the AZ MOM event, I am able to wake up and feel confident about myself. I am so grateful to the staff that put this on.

My wife had a stroke last year. All of our money has gone to paying for her medical expenses. My teeth have been neglected because I could not afford to pay for it. I was able to receive help today. My toothache is gone.
