Cancer Support Community Arizona (CSCAZ)

At Cancer Support Community Arizona (CSCAZ), we believe no one should face cancer alone. Our mission is to uplift and strengthen people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities, and breaking down barriers to care. Our services are available for cancer patients, cancer survivors, caregivers, family members, and children of parents facing cancer because our vision is that everyone impacted by cancer receives the support they want and need.

All our programs are evidence-based, led by licensed and certified professionals, available in English and Spanish, and completely free of charge. Services are provided in person in the greater Phoenix area, the Verde Valley, and Flagstaff, and virtually via livestream to residents in every corner of Arizona.

Our proven support programs help you build a caring community that not only reduces mortality and recurrence rates but ensures you never face cancer alone. Here, you'll find the strength, hope, and support to focus on your total well-being while connecting with others who truly understand your journey.

Participants in the Cancer Support Community support groups share information that doctors don't know or don't tell you. You feel less alone, and your experiences are validated and understood. A bond forms with other cancer survivors, making the treatment process and survivorship less scary."

Cancer Support Community Arizona offers ~100 bilingual (English/Spanish) programs each month, including support groups, cancer resource navigation, healthy lifestyle classes, nutrition education, 1:1 counseling with licensed mental health professionals, expressive arts, youth & family programming, and fun events designed to build life-giving community. Additionally, through our Resource Navigation program, we help patients and families access resources such as financial, transportation, food, and lodging assistance, and offer free wigs to individuals who are losing their hair due to treatment. It can be overwhelming for Arizonans to navigate the cancer landscape, so Cancer Support Community AZ helps ease the worry and burden of the cancer experience.

In 2024, we served approximately 2,000 individuals directly through our programs and helped over 1,000 families access resources to overcome barriers to care. Considering our services help the whole family, last year we impacted over 7,500 Arizonans by making sure no one faces cancer alone.
