Deep Within Rehab - Prior Resident Testimony

"The day I got to Deep Within from prison, my life changed completely. When I got to Deep Within I was wearing prison issued clothes and I only had a box full of my paperwork.
Mr. Lee (Rest In Peace) greeted me and made sure I was given new undergarments, shirts, pants, socks and a pair of shoes. He also gave me a shoebox filled with hygiene. It felt good to be able to clean up and change out of the prison clothes. I felt a little nervous, but I also felt welcomed at Deep Within. Deep Within also gave me a room, a bed with clean sheets and a pillow. I was well fed too. All the things that I did not have for many years because of my addiction and living on the streets for 2 years before I turned myself in and faced my consequences of going to prison for my previous charges, which I can now take accountability for.
We had daily recovery meetings. We also attended Church. So, my recovery had my Narcotics Anonymous meetings and Spiritual learning. They provided all the tools I needed to go back to the world and be a better human being. I was also provided with working skills at the different jobsites I went to.
I became a more mature and responsible man.
Mr. Lee was a man that took his time to give me advice of how I can become a better clean and sober man. The structure of our day at Deep Within helped me by staying busy and active.
The whole atmosphere was positive and it gave me a better reason to clean up my act and go out to the world as a drug free man.

I would like to say that I am still clean and sober after a year, have a full-time job and a truck. I have been off Parole for a year now and I keep moving forward, just like I was taught and encouraged to do when I was at Deep Within.
