Southern Arizona Trauma Informed Network (SATIN) works toward a more trauma informed and trauma responsive community.
SATIN was initiated by a group of educators and service providers in Pima County in 2015. Over time, members continued to meet in pursuit of making our communities, schools, and services more trauma informed. In 2017, the group started coordinating free, in person community trainings. In 2019, SATIN formalized their mission of providing an action-oriented framework for a trauma responsive community.
Then, the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic hit and the SATIN pivoted to an online training platform in order to continue offering trainings to the community. SATIN training attendance gained momentum and developed a following across our community, across our state and across the country. SATIN provides free monthly trainings that cover a wide array of topics and populations. SATIN is committed to providing free training to ensure that the information is available and accessible to all people. In 2023, an average of 250 individuals attended training each month.
In addition to free trainings, SATIN offers workshops, retreats, consultation and targeted training.
