Since Stardust Building Supplies was founded in 1997, we've provided over 3,000 people every month with affordable, reclaimed building supplies. For the past 20 years, we've rallied behind reducing landfill waste with a simple call to action: Starve the Landfill.

Did you know that each year about 534 million tons of construction & demolition waste are generated in the U.S.?

By salvaging building materials for reuse, Stardust helps to conserve landfill space, lessen the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere, and create a market for reclaimed building materials at our two reuse centers.

Since 1997 Stardust has…
• Diverted more than 80 million pounds of reusable building materials from Phoenix landfills.
• Provided over 1 million customers with quality reclaimed items.
• Distributed $50 million worth of household items to local nonprofits through our Gifts In Kind program.

Your funding supports our mission and day-to-day work, including staffing, truck maintenance, and deconstruction service. For every $10 donated, we can divert 30 lbs of building materials for reuse!

Our services and programs...

DECONSTRUCTION
Our deconstruction services are an environmentally sound alternative to conventional demolition. Deconstruction is the process of carefully and systematically disassembling and removing previously constructed items with the intent to reuse them elsewhere. The deconstruction team carefully dismantles everything from kitchen and bathroom cabinets to countertops, plumbing fixtures, and lighting.

REUSE CENTERS
Appliances, fixtures, cabinetry, and more. At Stardust Building Supplies, you'll find these items at a discount of 50 to 80% compared to regular retail stores. You can shop happily knowing you're contributing to the sustainability of your community while finding the perfect items for your home.

GIFTS IN KIND
The Stardust Gifts In Kind (GIK) program provides more than 360 non-profit organizations with essential items including toiletries, housewares, and building supplies to help serve the community. We partner with local retailers to collect overstocked, returned, or slightly damaged inventory that would otherwise be thrown away. We then redistribute it to non-profit organizations who can use the donated items for clients or operational needs.
