Ability360

Ability360 offers and promotes programs designed to empower people with disabilities to take personal responsibility so that they may achieve or continue independent lifestyles within the community. Funds received through AZ Gives Day 2025 by Ability360 will be dedicated to the 360Outdoors program. Donors may also choose more specifically to support the Mainstream Experience through the George Bohnert Scholarship Fund.

Ability360 is a Center for Independent Living, also known as a CIL. For over 40 years, we have pursued our mission to promote independence, integration, consumer control and choice, equal rights and responsibility for people with disabilities. We provide programs designed to empower people with disabilities to take personal responsibility so that they may achieve or continue independent lifestyles within the community.

In 2008, we opened the Ability360 Center that is now home to more than ten other community organizations that support advocacy for people with disabilities. Having the variety of support through different non-profits on one campus is unique. Our campus also has a conference center and two classrooms for a variety of education events.

The Ability360 Sports and Fitness Center opened its doors in October 2011 and is also located on the campus. This Sports & Fitness Center was built with purpose and intention for people with disabilities and their families. The mission of the Ability360 Sports & Fitness Center for Persons with Disabilities is to provide exceptional adaptive sports, recreation, aquatic, and fitness programs that promote the independence, health, and overall well-being of people with disabilities and their family members.

For over two years, 360Outdoors has continued the legacy programs of Daring Adventures including the Grand Canyon rafting trip as well as many more outdoor adventure opportunities throughout the year. 360Outdoors programs include adaptive mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and rowing.

The George Bohnert Scholarship Fund was created by his family in memory of George. This scholarship provides scholarships for the Grand Canyon rafting trips specifically.
