Arivaca Human Resource (AHR) is the heart of our community! Founded in 1988, AHR is dedicated to supporting the rural and historic village of Arivaca, located 11 miles from the Mexico border in Southern Arizona, and home to 700 residents.  Through mobile meals, food boxes, energy assistance, and compassionate care, we empower this close-knit, resilient community to flourish and thrive. Embracing diversity, we serve people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. We understand the challenges faced by seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans, and we offer them nutritious meals, essential resources, and a helping hand.

Despite the challenges of living in a remote “food desert,” Arivaca's spirit shines brightly! The strength and resilience of our community constantly inspire us. We take pride in our rich cultural heritage, our deep sense of unity, and the knowledge that we are stronger together.

Our slogan, "The Heart of Arivaca," isn't just a phrase; it's our promise. Just like a heart pumps life-giving blood, we bring in support from volunteers, generous donors and partners, ensuring a vibrant and thriving community where everyone has the opportunity to live their best life.
