The Arizona Burn Foundation mission is to improve the quality of life of burn survivors and their families in Arizona, while promoting burn prevention and fire advocacy and education.

Arizona Burn Foundation: A legacy of compassion and proactive change. For more than 50 years, Arizona Burn Foundation has provided high-quality support programs for Arizona children and adult burn survivors and their families. Two Maricopa County surgeons - Dr. MacDonald Wood and Dr. William Price - and attorney George "Fritz" Randolph established the Foundation in 1967. Ever since, we've collaborated with organizations, communities, medical professionals, burn centers, and hospitals across the state to ensure that anyone who suffers a burn injury receives the highest standard of care and assistance. What's more, we help burn survivors reclaim their identity and dignity. We believe each burn survivor is more than the sum of their scars, and that our work is instrumental to their holistic recovery.

Testimonials

"The second you go to Camp Courage, everyone treats you like you're their world. Being visibly burned, the thing that used to make you stand out and be considered weird, no longer mattered. That taught me to love and accept myself. The friendships built meant more than anything else in the world." Samantha Jones- Burn Survivor

"Milo & Moxie gave all of the fire departments something to follow where the kids were getting the same messaging. You take the kids through a home and show them things that can cause them to get burned. Things that are hot and dangerous. More importantly, you show them what they need to do! They need to crawl low under smoke. If they catch on fire, they need to stop, drop, cover their face, and roll. They need to stay away from matches, lighters, and barbecue grills. Wearing shoes on their feet when they go outside during the summer prevents their feet getting burned. I mean, it really takes you through the whole aspect of the dangers in and around your home." Janet Boberg- Glendale Fire Department

"We are not to see our injuries or scars as a curse in life but as a story of hope that will give lives like ours meaning and a purpose to live. We are to transmit that hope to others like us so that they may do the same as we do. As long as there is life in us, there is hope for ourselves and for others. We are to embrace who we are now." Josh Discua- Leaders in Training Program
