National Kidney Foundation of Arizona

The National Kidney Foundation of Arizona provides awareness, assistance and hope to Arizonans at-risk and impacted by kidney disease.

We provide care, hope, and education. The National Kidney Foundation of Arizona (NKF AZ), a 501c3 non-profit organization, was founded in 1963 to help Arizona dialysis patients pay for their treatments. The foundation has since expanded to provide life-saving patient aid, education and organ donation advocacy throughout the state of Arizona. Programs of the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona include: Direct Patient Aid, Public Awareness Programs, Free Community Health Screenings, Patient Education, Organ Donation Advocacy, Professional Education Programs, and more!

The NKF AZ delivers direct financial assistance such as life sustaining medications, nutritional supplements, dental aid, transportation to dialysis, and emergency eviction and utility shut-off prevention. These vital programs help ease the burden of kidney disease for thousands of patients and their families each year.

The NKF AZ educates professionals and the public about kidney disease prevention. The foundation provides research and professional conferences in an ongoing effort to eliminate kidney disease.

The NKF AZ offers public and personal support for kidney health issues and raises awareness of the critical shortage and need for organ donation. Signature programs such as Path to Wellness free health screenings, the Erma Bombeck Project organ donation awareness program, and Know Your GFR all promote early detection and proper treatment for kidney disease.
