The Arizona Museum of Natural History is the only natural history museum in the greater Phoenix area. Our mission is to be a hub of discovery, discourse and positive change that shares evidence-based perspectives about Arizona and the surrounding region.
The galleries in AZMNH tell the story of the natural and human histories of the Southwestern United States. Exhibits feature prehistoric dinosaur fossils, pieces of meteorites, rare gemstones, indigenous art, and video interviews outlining thousands of years of uninterrupted human history in Arizona. There is always something to inspire everyone who visits AZMNH!
The museum is also home to ongoing anthropological and paleontological research and is privileged to steward the O'odham ancestral site known as Sce:dagĭ Mu:val Va’aki.
AZMNH is supported by the 501(c)(3) Arizona Museum of Natural History Foundation.
