Circle the City opened its doors to provide healthcare to people facing homelessness ten years ago. Since then it has provided healthcare to tens of thousands of people. Circle the City has several modalities of healthcare. It operates the only two medical respite centers in Arizona that offer people who are facing homelessness with a bed, daily medical care, 24/7 nursing support, food, and case management to help connect patients to resources like housing. Our respite centers are for people healing from a serious injury or illness, such as cancer, and are not able to remain in the hospital, and too sick to be on the streets. Respite care gives them a safe place to rest, heal, and recover.
We also offer outpatient primary and preventive healthcare at our two clinics, and through our mobile medical care to patients all across Maricopa County. We are an Arizona based 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization and a Federally Qualified Health Center. While our goal is to provide the highest quality healthcare to people facing homelessness, we also strive to connect our patients to resources they need to help them get off the street.
Circle the City is nationally recognized by organizations like the National Healthcare for the Homeless Council, for its innovative and successful continuum of care in providing healthcare to people living on the street. It is one of the only models of its kind in the country.

"When I had my stroke and lost my place (home), I couldn't walk, Circle the City brought me to this respite center, and I was a tough guy you know, never showed emotion. But the doctors and nurses here, they got deep to find out what I needed. I'm just really glad this place is here. " Hugh, patient
"After my open heart surgery, I thought I was going to go right back out to my tent in the middle of the desert, Instead Circle the City gave me a bed in their respite center and treatment like a real person. Now I've got my health back and the first roof I've had over my head in years." Russell, patient
"When my landlord told me they were raising my rent again, at my age on social security, I just couldn't afford it. My first night homeless, I slept on the ground in front of the apartment building. When I got Covid, I went to Circle the City for help and they turned my life around, They helped me get healthy and find this place to live. They are true angels." Mary Lisa, patient
