Established in 1981, The Phoenix Girls Chorus is a private, not-for-profit organization offering choral music education to girls between the ages of 4-18. PGC's vision is to teach young women to be confident in making their voice heard. By joining together with other young women, PGC singers learn the value of the female voice, both in music and in life. They also learn the importance of using their voice to become leaders in their community who enact positive change. This is reinforced through leadership and community service opportunities that are incorporated into PGC programming.
"One of the biggest skills I gained from PGC that has helped me in my career in engineering is teamwork. This is a skill I use in all work and class projects." -Victoria Ehmann
"PGC has given me a view on the world and many transferable skills that most people my age cannot say they have. I learned invaluable leadership skills and confidence. I was able to look up to older girls, and I also know what responsibilities come with being a role model to younger girls." -Rachael Clifford
"The Chorus taught me responsibility, integrity, and musicianship, all of which impact my life to this day." -Helen Sokol
"It's not just about singing. Phoenix Girls Chorus helps us build character." -Meghan Edwards
"The Chorus is not only a place for girls to make friends but to learn qualities needed for survival in the real world, such as teamwork and the benefits of hard work." -Stephanie York
