Our mission, grounded in traditional Native American culture, is to reduce health disparities by delivering high-quality, comprehensive integrated healthcare and providing stable housing throughout the communities we serve.
Founded in 1972, NAC's target population includes individuals affected by substance use disorders, those who are homeless, and low- or extremely low-income individuals and families living in metro-Phoenix. NAC now owns/operates 18 housing sites, 4 Health Services sites, one Mobile Health Initiative, and we operate the Phoenix Indian School Visitors Center in Steele Indian School Park as a community service. We have two more housing complexes in development. Our continuum of programs and services annually touch and change the lives of over 10,000 individuals and families of all ages, ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds each year.
NAC strives to be a trusted and compassionate leader in the greater community, and we are committed to eliminating health and housing disparities among underserved populations.

Community Development
NAC creates community development projects to strengthen our Native American community. The Phoenix Indian School Visitor Center was developed in 2017 in partnership with the City of Phoenix and the Phoenix Indian Center. Located within Steele Indian School Park, it serves as a gathering place for arts/cultural, education, health/wellness, and community economic development programs, and it preserves the authentic stories of the Indian Boarding School experience.
