The Phoenix Zoo is embarking on a campaign to build the Doornbos Animal Rescue and Care Center, a new quarantine facility essential for maintaining the health and well-being of all animals in our care.

This facility will enable the Zoo to expand its role in rescuing and caring for animals confiscated from the illegal wildlife trade.  In addition, this space will provide a safe environment for Zoo residents to adjust before transitioning to permanent locations, it will support thorough health assessments and help protect the Zoo community by reducing the risk of disease transmission.
