Changing Lives Through Music
Reveille Men's Chorus, Tucson's internationally recognized men's chorus, is celebrating its 30th anniversary of changing lives through music. What began in 1995 as a gay men's community chorus with an array of singers, has grown, transitioned and taken flight into a community institution of seasoned performers focused on building relationships, community, and a performance experience incomparable to any here in Southern Arizona.
Reveille has traveled to perform at six "GALA Choruses" National Conferences in San Jose, Montreal, Miami, Denver in both 2012 and 2016, and most recently, in Minneapolis this past summer. Reveille has also traveled internationally to Mexico and Brazil to raise money for local LGBT organizations. in May of 2014, Reveille went to Mexico to participate in "Voices Without Borders", sharing the stage with the Puerto Vallarta Gay Men's Chorus, Mexico's first gay men's chorus, whose founders were inspired to start the group after Reveille's initial visit to Puerto Vallarta in 2007.
Under the leadership of artistic director Keith Koster, Reveille continues to grow, not only in size, but in musical excellence through community outreach, volunteer work and musical productions including collaborations with the Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra and the Arizona Women's Chorus in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Reveille was also invited to sing at the inauguration of Tucson Mayor Regina Romero in 2019 and Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs in 2023.
Reveille's plans for the future include a community engagement traveling tour in rural Arizona, partnerships with other local nonprofit organizations, and choral exchange experiences with choirs from other cities in the southwest. Reveille also plans to continue its efforts to give hope to the younger generation, providing discounted concert tickets to youth and young adults
