The Foster Alliance (TFA), formerly Arizona Helping Hands supports the foster care community by providing essentials to benefit children in foster care. Our Vision: Every child on the foster care journey thrives. Always. Founded in 1998, TFA is Arizona's largest provider of essential resources for children experiencing foster care. We offer foster care families beds, clothing, diapers, personal care items, backpacks filled with school supplies, and even custom birthday gifts.

We learned that 17-35 children per day are removed from their homes, and many go to live with a relative - a relative that has zero time to plan or save to take in as many as 4 to 7 children in the blink of an eye. We discovered that all too often, these fantastic families didn't have a bed for them.

That is why, for Arizona Gives Day, we are dedicating this campaign to every foster child who has slept on the floor, on their grandmother's couch, or even on a blow-up pool float. When we reach our crazy goal of $500,000 dollars 1667 foster children will get a twin bed or crib and the entire bedding set to match - sheets, mattress protectors, pillows, and soft, comfy blankets.

This is your chance, Arizona, to help ensure all children on a foster care journey have a safe, warm bed to sleep in.

There are 14,000 plus kiddos in state and tribal foster care systems in Arizona. This is your chance to tell us how many kids we get to serve this year.

No matter the size of your gift, you are making a difference.

$25 will give a kiddo a blanket and the fluffiest pillow
$100 will provide 6 children with a soft sheet set
$300 will provide a twin-size bed and everything they need to come with it
$526 tax credit gift will provide A mattress for more than 4 children
$1051 tax credit gift will give a comfy baby quilt to more than 87 infants

Testimonials

"I had not visited for 3 yrs because I did not have a truck for the large mattress/ boxsprings you used to give out. I really needed new ones due to fosters wetting the bed. I was going to rent a Uhaul, but when I visited your website to make an appt I discovered you now had ones that would fit in cars. When our foster child came home, she asked "you did all this for me?" She is 9yrs and has been worried about sleeping due to urinary problems from trauma for years. She said she slept on a blow-up plastic floatie at home. I was also unaware, despite fostering for 4 years that you give out so many other items. I received the girls after Christmas, so it was incredible to watch them receive so much."

"I was not expecting anything… and I thought I will just manage to provide personal needs, clothing, food, and birthday presents for my grandson ???? I was wrong, with everything being so expensive I wasn't going to be able to provide as many things as I thought I would like for his birthday. Arizona Helping Hands came at the precise moment in the time of need… and gave the most of their support to make the most memorable birthday wish! Thank you so much for the gift of gifts???? I want to share that, my grandson lost his one and only scooter ???? through the process of being away from his mom… (mom became homeless) " a blue scooter ???? was there in the toy's area - just waiting for Allen"

"The generosity of AHH is so impactful, especially with a brand new placement. It takes such a financial burden off of the foster parent so we can focus on emotionally supporting the child."
