Over 24 million suffer from addiction every day in this nation. Addiction affects all our communities, whether it is an employee not showing up for work, a domestic violence issue, someone being homeless, parents neglecting their children, drugs being sold in our schools, people stealing, suicides, overdoses, and many other drug related deaths. Steps to Recovery Homes takes these individuals off the streets and gives them an affordable, safe, clean, example driven environment where they can find real recovery.

Our Wellness programs focus on all aspects of life, not just substance use disorders. We are passionate about helping others recover from all addictions while addressing other co-occurring disorders that can act as barriers to living a productive life. We have an example driven staff that empowers people to improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential. We have Clean, Safe, Structured State Recognized Recovery Homes for men that are willing to take action to address their substance use and other co-occurring disorders and embrace tools to gain and maintain long-term recovery. We focus on behavior modification and shifting of perceptions. 3 of our key principles are Responsibility, Accountability and Communication. We have an Outpatient Treatment Center "Konnect Wellness Center" that provides essential therapeutic services for clients in our Homes and the surrounding community. We strive to reduce labeling and stigmas. We are working on systems change to have more access to recovery, less waiting lists and more collaborative efforts with resources. We offer Outpatient Groups, Individual Therapy, Peer Support, Case Management, Skills Training, Job Development, Greif and Loss Groups, Trauma Therapy, ART Therapy, Holistic Approaches including Equine Therapy, Yoga, Meditation, Sound Healing, Kayaking and other Nature activities. We have a psychiatrist that is an Addictionologist to help guide our clientele to the best possible path of contentment.  Our Job Development program assists our clients in obtaining basic skills needed for employment, including certifications or credentials, soft skills, and hard skills. Our focus is to provide a safe workplace so they may ease back into the workforce without the stressors of a new work environment. We work in conjunction with their treatment schedules and goals. This allows them time to focus on their recovery and address core issues that can subconsciously lead to self-destruction. This program fosters a supportive environment that empowers the client to look towards a career that gives them purpose and meaning in their lives.

Testimonials

My name is Anji and I came into Steps to Recovery Homes feeling defeated. I have always been a successful woman in life. But there were things that continued to bring me down. The patterns were hard for me to break. I would continue to use and avoid my problems. I came to Steps to Recovery Homes scared and willing to change. They gave me a structured set of rules that helped me find my purpose and empower myself in a healthy way. The biggest thing that I was given was an opportunity to be in the job development program. This enabled me to regain self- confidence and work in a place that was surrounded by people in recovery. I know in my heart this made a huge difference and was a critical piece to my continued sobriety and growth. I went from the working in the ebay, warehouse, and store in the job development program to managing the store, to becoming Operations Manager for the whole organization, to now, helping open up a women's recovery home for the organization. I'm able to guide new clients in the job development, and help them through the challenges I encountered. It's a blessing to have a purpose and be a part of the solution in this world.
