Terra BIRDS

Terra BIRDS educates, empowers, and employs youth through gardening and land stewardship opportunities. Terra BIRDS was founded to address the challenging educational, environmental, and socio-economic issues we are collectively facing through our innovative, multi-faceted, hands-on education programs that focus on environmental sustainability and youth empowerment. School Gardens: Environmental stewardship, personal wellness, and applied science for student gardeners caring for their school grounds. In 2024,  2,221 K-12 students in Flagstaff, Page and Grand Canyon participated in our School Garden Program.

BIRDS@Work: Employment, sustainability education, and vocational and life skills development for local youth. In 2024, Terra BIRDS employed 35 youth between the ages of 16 and 21.
