Wildhorse Ranch Rescue aka Wildhorse is going into our 29th year of rescue!
We've saved the lives of thousands of animals and our impact has been felt worldwide.
In addition, volunteers & donors have stated that Wildhorse has vastly improved and enhanced their own lives.
With roughly 214 volunteers, we manage the following programs:
• Rescue of all types of equine from Wild Stallions to Blueblood Thoroughbreds.
• Cat rescue through our Kitty City Program.
• Water for Horses - we provide life-saving water delivery to Native American Nations during drought seasons.
• US Forest Service Equine Retirement - safe retirement for all USFS Equines. (Note: There is no Government funding for retired US Forest Service Horses and Mules.)
• Foal Club - Intensive care for orphaned wild foals.
• Wildhorse 66 -We purchased 100 acres in Ash Fork, AZ on Old Rte 66. We are working to outfit this property to help with displaced wild herds.
• Community Service Programs

"Wildhorse is a true horse-rescue. They take in all types of horses from retired international race horses to wild horses and their babies. They do not require them to be rideable. They will raise the funds to provide the best care for all of the animals they take in. Some of their work has provided leading edge veterinary knowledge in the horse world and has involved several Universities. That goes on to help all horse owners!" _ Cindy - Vet Tech Student and future Veterinarian
"I started volunteering at Wildhorse to help the animals. What I found, is that I also helped myself." _ DH
"This place not only saves animals, it has the magic to save people too :) " Maria Moro Morrow
"The most wonderful people doing compassionate work!" Meg Wessel
"Amazing rescue!! Love the babies!" Brad Hilgart
"Couldn't speak more highly of this group, their integrity and huge hearts!!! Support them! Help this group however you can. They rock!" Kate Tobias
"This horse rescue facility is a wonderful place to learn about how wildhorses can be sold to auction for unfortunate reasons. They explain the needs of the horses and they have an amazing staff that care and nurture each special horse they rescue. Ask for a visit and donate to a wonderful cause!" Demetira H
"My coworkers and I came here for a volunteer event. This was a huge success amongst the team. We helped clean up/take out weeds, level out some uneven ground, clean up some of the washing facilities, and clean out a shed.
After all of the work, we were treated to meeting the animals at the rescue, including horses, mules, and cats. The horses were friendly and gentle. The cats loved and played with all of our team members.
The staff at the rescue was wonderful and very friendly. They showed us exactly what we needed to do and helped when we needed it. Most of all, they were very dedicated to their work. You can tell they love to do what they do and lovingly take care of all of their animals.
This was a great experience for our team and I would highly recommend visiting this place!" _ Narendra Patel
