Becoming an Otter Spotter is an exciting and educational new addition to children’s literature. This beautifully illustrated book will invite young readers to explore the wonders of the Verde River. Through engaging storytelling, the script introduces the fascinating world of river otters, highlighting their role as key indicators of a healthy ecosystem.
As readers follow along, they’ll develop a deeper appreciation for nature and learn simple ways they can help protect and care for the Verde River. Perfect for families, classrooms, and young nature enthusiasts, Becoming an Otter Spotter encourages kids to become stewards of the environment, sparking curiosity and a lifelong love for the natural world.
Did you know that our first children’s book is award-winning?
We are so grateful to have been listed in Great Reads from Great Places in 2024! Only two books from each state receive this honor, and that means our book was included in The Library of Congress and featured at the National Book Festival in Washington, D.C., last August.
On the Verde River represented Arizona’s literary heritage as part of the Library of Congress’s “Great Reads” program, and we’re proud to continue sharing the Verde River’s story with young readers!
