Help us fund the Verde BioBlitz! This program is an engaging and educational opportunity designed for 5th graders, offering a unique way to learn about the importance of river ecosystems.
Through hands-on science activities and community-based projects, students explore the Verde River and its rich biodiversity. They gain a deeper understanding of the plants, animals, and habitats that depend on the river while learning how these ecosystems work together to thrive. The program focuses on inspiring curiosity and stewardship by encouraging kids to become “citizen scientists.” Students actively participate in observing, identifying, and recording species along the river, contributing valuable data to conservation efforts.
Along the way, they develop skills in science, teamwork, and environmental awareness. By connecting with nature in a fun and interactive way, BioBlitz equips young learners with the knowledge and tools to help protect the river, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the environment and the importance of preserving natural resources.
